REPAIR & SERVICING

One of the biggest concerns when purchasing any sewing machine is what to do when it’s time for service or a needed repair. Service can become a big problem, especially if you buy a machine online and have to deal with the hassle of shipping it to the manufacturer and waiting weeks for its return.

At Byrne Sewing, we have superior machine repair and servicing at our local location in New Britain. We take great pride in our exceptional service and repair department and truly believe our factory-trained technicians are the best in the industry, bringing years of experience and factory training to every machine they service. They also work hand-in-hand with manufacturers to make sure that your machine is efficiently serviced and kept up to date with the right parts and highest quality workmanship. Byrne Sewing offers expert service and repairs for sewing machines, embroidery machines, sergers, long-arm quilting machines, industrial sewing machines, and more.

Do you service any makes or models?
We service almost all makes and models of domestic or home sewing and embroidery machines, industrials(please call before bringing in), sergers, longarms, and multi-needles.

What do I need to bring with my machine for repair?
You do not need to book and appointment to drop off your machine. Machines can be dropped off Tuesday-Saturday.

What do I need to bring with my machine for repair?
We would like to keep our process as smooth as possible, therefore if you have a Bernina, Brother, Janome, or Juki the only machine accessories that need to be dropped off are the bobbin case, bobbin, and presser foot. If you are having any issues with your power cord or foot pedal please bring them in.

All other makes and models please drop off the bobbin case, bobbin, presser foot, and power cord. If you have any questions on accessories needed please give us a call 215-230-9411.

Can I bring my machine in for just an estimate only or only have one time repaired?
All machines brought in will be charged the base cleaning and servicing fee. This is to help us diagnosis any future issues and check that your machine has no underlying additional problems that are being looked over. Customers will receive an approval call if the total bill goes $50 over the base cleaning fee in additional parts or labor. If your machine is not repairable, you choose not to continue the repair, or the parts are no longer available a $50 diagnosis fee will
be charged.

How long is the turnaround time?
Our average turnaround time is 2-3 weeks. We keep machines moving quickly with the highest level of workmanships, turnaround times may vary based on additional work or parts needed.

Do you offer home servicing?
We offer home servicing on Bernina longarms, at the moment we do not have the manpower to service other longarm brands. Please fill out our longarm service request form to schedule: service request
