Longarm Quilter Club

 January Topic:

This month we will explore various aspects of longarm quilting,
ranging from basic essentials to more advanced concepts. This
month’s demonstration and discussion will begin with loading the
quilt, pulling the bobbin thread and tying off. There will be plenty of
time to discuss and share.

February Topic: 

This month we will be looking at the options for your quilt top
-Basting? to float or not to float. How do I keep it all straight?
Basting? We will recap pulling the bobbin thread and tying off and
move on to basting, and stitching in the ditch. There will be plenty of time
to discuss and share.

March Topic:

This month our demonstration will look at more of the stitching
options available with our Bernina Q series Longarms. Couching
has more to it than sofas! We’ll look at couching and twin needle
stitching to see how basic quilting can be enhanced, especially using
these techniques as accents. We will also look at different options for
batting. There will be plenty of time to discuss and share.

April Topic:

This month, we will talk about keeping your quilting straight. For
sit-downs, this means packaging your quilt for the best and easiest
movement. For long arms, how do you keep your horizontal and
vertical lines in order? Introduction to Qmatic - what’s the process.
There will be time to discuss and share.
