This class teaches our Build-a-Quilt technique. Students will stitch 6 in-the-hoop blocks: 4 embroidery blocks and 2 quilted blocks. They will then learn the block-joining technique used to create rows, and the row-joining technique used to assemble finished projects. Connecting the 6 blocks completes one placemat. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced sewist looking for a refresh of sewing fundamentals this class is the right fit. This course will teach the basics from cutting and pinning to sewing seam allowances and zippers. Students will leave this course learning all the skills required to move on to more advanced sewing projects. In this course, students will be making a zippered bag. Age 14+
