Learn an easy four step method to create gorgeous artwork with textile inks, threads and surface design with shimmer and shine. This elegant image you will be creating is perfect for a center medallion, quilt blocks, or wearable art. As you quilt your project, you will be embellishing with beautiful thread work.   Join Mary Alice Fyock and learn the basics of using the Bernina Stitch Regulator (BSR) plus you will learn the techniques for using BSR with quilting, crafting, home decorating, and garment making.   You've learned the basics, now you are ready to practice and play with free motion quilting techniques, and learn about thread tension as well, in this hands-on class. With Mary Alice, you will practice many different free motion quilting designs, using different types of thread and you will go home with a notebook full of designs along with your samples.

My Label is Bernina's newest bag of tricks and it is awesome! Input your measurements, dress your model, embellish as you desire, print your pattern, sew your creation, wear with confidence - sew again and again! Loaded with pre-done designs, you can preview how they look on your model of you, with a wide selection of virtual fabrics and embellishments to finish off your outfit. CAMP BYRNE - SOFTWARE CAMP!

We have been asked over and over again to do something like this. Okay, you've bought this software, now what do you do with it? Well, pack up your computer, get in your car and come to Camp Byrne. Ellen will be covering the most elementary elements of the software as well as the more advanced techniques. You will be amazed at what a powerful instrument you have in your Artista Software, and by the end of camp you will be patting yourself on the back for making such a wise purchase. The software has amazing capabilities so make it work for you.

Come one day or all three. If you are an experienced user, you might wish to skip right to Day Two. Editor and Editor Lite users are welcome at all sessions, but your software will only be capable of those techniques taught on Day One. (Editor Lite users will have some additional limitations on those topics taught on Day One.) Lunch included each day...and everything you ever wanted to know about.

Day 1 (Thursday, August 14) - 10-5pm - Appropriate for all levels of Artista Software:

• Session 1 - What are all these icons on my screen? This session will cover what each of the icons represent and how you can use them in your embroidery.
• Session 2 - Where did I put that design? This session will cover how to organize your designs so that they don't get lost and you can find them with just a click or two of your mouse.
• Session 3 - How do I organize all the threads that I have in my stash? The software allows you to make your own personal thread charts, and will find matches for the threads in your collection.
• Session 4 - I've bought these expensive design packets and use just a couple of the designs. Come to this session and learn how to create large designs incorporating several designs within a design packet. We will add designs, rotate, mirror image, wreath, remove elements from designs, and add elements to designs. You won't even recognize the original designs when you are finished.

Day 2 (Friday, August 15) - 10-5:30pm - Appropriate for Designer level of Artista Software:

• Session 5 - How can I turn this picture into an embroidery design? We will take simple line drawings and turn them into embroidery using the "Magic Wand" and the "Auto Digitizing" tools.
• Session 6 - How can I create appliqué objects? This software has some unique tools to transform a simple line drawing into a lovely appliqué piece.
• Session 7 - Can I monogram like the experts? Definitely. Not only can you create initials, but the software has beautiful embellishments that will surpass what you see in the stores and in catalogues.

Day 3 (Saturday, August 16) - 10-4pm - Appropriate for Designer level of Artista Software:

• Session 8 - Can I personalize or add wording to my designs? The lettering capabilities within the software are amazing. Learn how to incorporate and use lettering to embellish your embroidery.
• Session 9 - Can I create my own original designs? Learn to use the manual digitizing tools to create your own designs.
