Q1 $5 "PRACTICALLY FREE" QUILT

This is one of our most popular events! We start a new quilt each January, so we are well on our way. Buy the block your first month for just $5 and bring it back the next month - completed - and get the next month's block for free! (See store for details!) How much better can it get?!! Q2 "SEW" RELAXING

Join us as we open one of our classrooms up to anyone who wants to come in and sew or quilt or whatever. You'll have a place to spread out and work to your heart's content - away from the phone and other distractions of home. The coffee's always on so bring your projects...and a friend or two and lunch and we'll provide the space and any number of folks to offer an opinion or advice on your current project! And...as we envision this...we might just throw in some informal tips, techniques or sneak peeks at upcoming cool stuff. "Sew," come kick back and spend a relaxing day (or part thereof!) and stitch away! Limited seating - call early to reserve your spot!

Q4 BYE BYE TO BINDING BLUES

Q5 MACHINE QUILTING WORKSHOP

Okay, the quilt top is done...what do you do now? You'll need to learn some basic skills: layering your quilt with backing and batting, planning your quilting patterns, choosing threads and then finally, using your free-motion skills and/or BSR to execute some simple quilting patterns. Beginners will feel more comfortable after taking this techniques class, which is lecture demo and hands on.

This super fast, super easy quilt is a variation of the more traditional rail fence. This quilt is very fat quarter friendly and looks great done either in high contrast for a stripey look, and in lower contrast for more of a watercolor look. Fun to make! Pattern purchase required!

CALLING ALL BERNINA STITCH REGULATOR (BSR) OWNERS!

Haven't had the time to really sit down and practice with your new BSR? Maybe you're even a little intimidated by it still? This is just what you've been waiting for!

Q12 BSR 101

Join Mary Alice Fyock and learn the basics of using the Bernina Stitch Regulator (BSR) plus you will learn the techniques for using BSR with quilting, crafting, home decorating, and garment making. Learn to use your BSR with different needles and threads and experiment using your BSR with bobbin work and thread painting! A whole new world!

You've learned the basics, now you are ready to practice and play with free-motion quilting techniques, and learn about thread tension as well, in this hands-on class. With Mary Alice, you will practice many different free-motion quilting designs, using different types of thread and you will go home with a notebook full of designs along with your samples.

Q19 DIMENSIONAL LANDSCAPES

Joyce Hughes

Have you seen Joyce's quilts? She has developed her own personal style using raw edge appliqué, free-motion, decorative stitching and embellishment and it works fabulously! Join us and learn how to replicate her quilts and make a small landscape for practice. It will open all kinds of exciting doors for you! The first session will cover fabric selection, color placement, perspective, fusing and overall design. The second session will include thread selection, stitching techniques and embellishing. Class is open to anyone who has a solid working knowledge of their machine. This is a great way to put your BSR to use, but is absolutely not necessary to take the class!

2 sessions - $30 plus kit fee
Tuesday - 4/13 - 12-2pm and Thursday - 4/29 - 10:30-2:30pm (bring your lunch!)
