Q2 "SEW" RELAXING

Join us as we open one of our classrooms up to anyone who wants to come in and sew or quilt or whatever. You'll have a place to spread out and work to your heart's content - away from the phone and other distractions of home. The coffee's always on so bring your projects...and a friend or two and lunch and we'll provide the space and any number of folks to offer an opinion or advice on your current project! And...as we envision this...we might just throw in some informal tips, techniques or sneak peeks at upcoming cool stuff. "Sew," come kick back and spend a relaxing day (or part thereof!) and stitch away! Limited seating - call early to reserve your spot!

Q5 MACHINE QUILTING

Okay, the quilt top is done…what do you do now? We'll talk about layering your quilt and basting, planning your quilting patterns, choosing threads and then finally, using your free-motion skills and/or BSR to execute some simple quilting patterns. Beginners will feel more comfortable after taking this techniques class, which is lecture demo and hands on.

Q6 OCEAN FROLIC

Learn all the techniques necessary to complete this fun summer quilt! In this class you will learn prairie points, raw edge appliqué, yo-yo making and how to incorporate rickrack into your quilt top. Q8 TEA PARTY SCRAP QUILT

Come and learn a very easy and modern looking quilt. This pattern is very scrap, charm pack or jelly roll friendly too. You will learn how to make the blocks which also includes learning how to sew partial seams; the finished size is determined by how many blocks you want to make.

Q9 INDIAN ORANGE PEEL

This is a workshop style class designed for intermediate quilters, or beginners with attitude! This dazzling pattern never gets boring. The pattern can be used to play light against dark, warm against cool colors, almost any play you want. The repetition of pattern and shape joins to create a fabulous quilt with a strong interlocking circular design. I'll provide pattern sets and instructions. You'll learn basic paper piecing techniques that you can use in future projects. You can make a full size quilt or something smaller. At the last class, we'll talk about setting your blocks and finishing the quilt.

Portable and a great project you can take along and pick up anywhere to do while you wait, ride, watch tv or a myriad of other times. Q15 Basic Thread Painting

Join Joyce and make this wallhanging - small in size but big on impact! You can do this!!! This class will include fussy cutting, thread selection, stitching techniques and embellishing. Class is open to anyone who has a solid working knowledge of their machine. This is a great way to put your BSR to use, but is absolutely not necessary to take the class!
