THE MAIN EVENT

(formerly B Club)

Tuesdays, 7 p.m.

Wednesdays, 10am & 7pm

This SPECTACULAR monthly event is just too good to simply call it "B Club"!!! If you are a veteran of this club you know what we are talking about! Every month from October through June we invite world class professionals to our store to share their knowledge and life experiences with our customers. Our guest speakers have national or international recognition and lecture on various topics, e.g., fashion sewing, quilting, fiber arts, heirloom sewing, and much, much more. In addition to a great line up of special speakers, our customers enjoy refreshments, show and tell, fun, friendship, and sewing excitement. The cost is $100 to join for the year or $25 per session if you choose to come for just one or two meetings, and we will prorate the initial annual cost as the year progresses. These programs are always one of the highlights of our month, so come see just how much fun they can be!

Ask about our Early Bird sign-up bonus!

Below is a sneek preview of our programs for the upcoming MAIN EVENT season:

Nancy Bednar

Nancy does it all! Quilter, garment sewer, teacher, author...you name it she does it! From heirloom to serging and everything in between, what Nancy is really good at is showing you how to make your machine work for you. Her tips and tricks will show you how to coax your machine to just about anything you want it to do!

Virginia Robertson

Virginia has worked in the fabric industry for over thirty years, designing awesome patterns, writing books and designing fabrics. She is well-known for her wedding ring designs and her pickle dish quilts, but the one word that really sums up Virginia's talents is "color!" She has the most incredible eye for color and it just makes her quilts pop! Join us for a fun filled lecture where she imparts her secrets!

Susan Knapp and Mary Jane Mattingly of the Quilt Branch

These ladies start with traditional designs with a twist, and they love to show how six halves (half yard cuts) make a whole (quilt!). And just wait 'til they show you the easier way to cut any shape with a 45 degree angle!

Ann Lauer of Grizzly Gulch Gallery

Ann creates complex looking landscapes that are easy to recreate by combining two simple techniques - bargello quilt-as-you-go and fusible appliqué- and with dramatic results! Using a quilt-as-you-go technique with bargello stabilizes the seams and makes it easy to complete the background. The addition of appliqué and embellishment turns the quilt into a fascinating landscape. Very fun!
