BOMs & Other Stuff!
This gorgeous BOM by Kaye England is a combination of piecing and embroidery but can certainly be done entirely as a pieced quilt. Each month you will meet to view a video where Kaye describes the process of constructing each block. In this BOM, you will be selecting your own fabric, and this quilt is VERY scrap friendly. There are no patterns to buy, but you must use Kaye's "Cut for the Cure" Rulers. We will be offering a discounted package of these rulers for those of you who do not have them. Registration fee is $60.
6 months - Registration fee $60 and ruler purchase required
Tuesdays - 6/23, 7/28, 8/25, 9/22, 10/27, 11/24 - 1-3pm

Cozy Cases and Conkerr Pillowcases
Cozy Cases is a program begun by Sew Smart Fabrics to benefit Doylestown Hospital's new pediatric unit. The Bring Chocolate Modern Sewing Group is showing their support for our local hospital by donating hand-sewn pillowcases for children admitted as patients. This will be an ongoing need and we're inviting our loyal customers to join in!
We are pleased to announce that we are now a drop off point for pillowcases made for both the Cozy Cases project at Doylestown Hospital as well as for the Conkerr Cancer Center. Both of these provide cheery pillow cases for hospitalized children that serve as a bright spot and remind them that folks care. If you would like to contribute, you can find general guidelines for making cases on the Conkerr site here, or stop in if you have any questions.
