Let's Get Organized!
A new POM (Project of the Month!) from By Annie
Our New Project of the Month Program will help you create projects designed to organize everything from sewing tools or office supplies to phone chargers and other such Tech Gear. Learn how to make bias binding, create zippers of any length by adding zipper pull to zipper tape, cover strapping with fabric to coordinate with your projects, sew with vinyl, make mesh pockets and so much more. You will create useful projects while increasing your sewing skill repertoire. Pattern purchase required. We will be sharing the projects with Round Bobbin and alternating months between the shops. We will be starting the Year off in January with By Annie’s New Pattern “Stash and Dash”. March and May will be ours – then Round Bobbin will have February, April and June. Can't make our Friday dates? Contact Round Bobbin for their project list and dates.

Reach to Recovery Tote ags and Pillows
Join us as we meet to make tote bags and pillows for breast cancer patients. Bring your sewing machine and sewing supplies. Pre-cut kits are provided for the tote bags and pillows. We also need help stuffing the pillows, pressing and trimming. Come for an hour or come for the day. Whatever you can do will be greatly appreciated. The tote bags and pillows are donated to the American Cancer Society's Reach To Recovery support program. We also give tote bags to the ACS free wig program.

Cozy Cases and Conkerr Pillowcases
Cozy Cases is a program begun by Sew Smart Fabrics to benefit Doylestown Hospital's new pediatric unit. The Bring Chocolate Modern Sewing Group is showing their support for our local hospital by donating hand-sewn pillowcases for children admitted as patients. This will be an ongoing need and we're inviting our loyal customers to join in!
We are pleased to announce that we are now a drop off point for pillowcases made for both the Cozy Cases project at Doylestown Hospital as well as for the Conkerr Cancer Center. Both of these provide cheery pillow cases for hospitalized children that serve as a bright spot and remind them that folks care. If you would like to contribute, you can find general guidelines for making cases on the Conkerr site here, or stop in if you have any questions.
